Author: H. Axelrod
Published by:
ISBN

Aquaworld review: The abbreviated version of Axelrod's Atlas, with a selection of the more common fish.Although more expensive, the original Atlas covers many more different fish, and is more advisable.

992 pages filled with fish and plant descriptions, good pictures. The general section covers many topics, from water chemistry, food, disease up to
Aquaworld review: Must have book! Most errors have been corrected in the later editions, although some minor issues remain. Another irritating thing are the recommendations for tetra products.

Encyclopaedia of Tropical Fish
by Esther J. J. Verhoef-Verhallen (Editor)
Library Binding - 300 pages (April 1999)
Fitzroy Dearborn Publishers; ISBN: 157958120X

Aquaworld review: The book doesn't really deserve the title encyclopedia, it lacks some essential information for breeding fish, and generalizes a lot. It does read easy and fast.
